JAKE GILSON
Gilson has an MFA from Arizona State University and a BA from Humboldt State University. He holds numerous awards, including a Pollock/Krasner Award, a National Endowment for the Arts Individual Grant and a Helena Wurlitzer Foundation Residency. He teaches at Weber State University and has taught at United Arab Emirates University, University of Southern California, Cal-State University and elsewhere. His work has been shown in numerous museum exhibitions. Gilson’s practice reaches for ‘a moment of existence that is both infinite and finite, a vacancy that erases the boundaries and conventions of time and experience.’
