Choberka's paintings are hybrids of visual language that engage the instability and complexity of contemporary life. He is a Professor of Art at Weber State University where he is Director of the Matthew S. Browning Center for Design. Exhibitions include Torrance Art Museum (California), Governor’s Island Art Fair (New York), Raid Projects in Los Angeles, and Beaux-Arts des Ameriques in Montreal. His studies at the New York Studio School, the Hochschule der Kunste (Berlin), and Columbia College (Chicago) culminated in an MFA in painting from Indiana University.
